Job position: Software Developer
Contract Terms: Indefinite
Location: Tirana, Albania.

Summary: We are looking for a professional Software Developer who has a deep understanding of programming languages and the software development life-cycle, as well as excellent analytical abilities and problem-solving skills to join the IT and Developer team of our Client, an international company based in the UK, opening a new site in Tirana, Albania, as part of its strategic growth. As a Software Developer, You will be responsible for using the knowledge of programming languages to design software programs. Your duties include meeting with clients to determine their software needs, coding and testing software to ensure functionality, and updating software programs to refine components like cybersecurity measures and data storage capacities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and implement new software programs.
• Clearly and regularly communicate with management and technical support colleagues.
• Design and update software database. This includes, but is not limited to: Software Applications, Web Sites, Data Communication Processes, and User Interfaces.
• Test, maintain and recommend software improvements to ensure strong functionality and optimization.
• Independently install, customize and integrate commercial software packages.
• Facilitate root cause analysis of system issues.
• Work with experienced team members to conduct root cause analysis of issues, review new and existing code and/or perform unit testing.
• Identify ideas to improve system performance and impact availability.
• Resolve complex technical design issues.
• Development of technical specifications and plans.
• Analyze user requirements and convert requirements to design documents.
• Make good technical decisions that provide solutions to business challenges.
• Provide comprehensive support to internal customers; achieve a resolution to outstanding problems or issues.
• Compile timely, comprehensive, and accurate documentation and or reports as requested.
• Possess up-to-date knowledge of technological developments in the industry.
• Communicate effectively and professionally in all forms of communication with internal and external customers.
• Possess strong problem solving and decision making skills while using good judgment.
• Multi-task and change from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure.

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Master's degree would be highly desirable.

Work Experiences and required skills:

• 3+ years’ software development or programming experience
• Proficiency in popular coding languages including Python, Java, and C++ and frameworks or systems such as AngularJS and Git
• Excellent knowledge of the software development life cycle
• Experience with software design and development in a test-driven environment

Language skills:

• Very good command of the English language (written and spoken).
• Knowledge of any other language would be an asset.
