The Project Manager (PM) reports directly to the Executive Director of Operations in Technology.
The PM role has two main functions: to deliver projects on time and within budget for clients.
The Project Manager is responsible for developing, owning, and maintaining plans for each client project,
working across multiple departments with direct oversight, and ensuring that the execution of projects is timely and on budget.
Strong project management skills, team oversight capabilities, and a deep understanding of budgets and the scope of projects are essential to be successful.

Requirements

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Own delivery of client projects on budget and on time.
• Relentlessly drive for resources needed to meet the timeline, and raise flags as per the designated escalation plan.
• Consistently pursue budget clarity – for both work already completed as well as work that has yet to be done.
• Work with the team to rigorously identify change requests (increase to scope, changes in assumptions, etc) from clients.
• When evaluating change requests from clients:
  • Work with the team to ensure a thorough understanding of the budget and timeline implications.
  • Clearly communicate the budget and timeline implications to the client to ensure alignment before accepting the change request.
  • Be able to say “no” to a client regarding a change request if it negatively impacts delivery for other client projects.
• Hold members of the team accountable:
  • Proactively provide work estimates and adhere to these estimates in order to keep control of the budget and timeline.
  • Require team members to provide consistent and clear status updates on assigned work items and proactive communication about estimate overages and extended time required.
  • Deliver work items on time, in order to maintain the overall project timeline.
• Work with the production team to manage accurate resource planning.
• Develop and maintain project plans for each client project.
  • Ensure a solid understanding of project status (which work has been done and which work has yet to be done) in order to keep the client and larger production team up to date.

Critical Skills

• 2-3 years of project management experience
• 2-3 industry experience
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills
• Technical capabilities
  • Project management tools (Jira and Atlassian)
  • Google Workspace
  • Mac OS
• Preferred
  • PnP certified
  • Scrum Master
