Monitoring Center Operator-Physical Security Department
Jobs and Responsibilities
• To perform duties assigned in accordance with the Bank's internal regulations, Monitoring Centre Standard Procedures and instructions of Physical Security Department Manager.
• To report to Monitoring Centre & Electronic Security Specialist and other superiors for every problem encountered during the work process.
• To monitor, evaluate, verify/ investigate, and react appropriately to every alarm signal/ event (fire, water, intrusion, motion, glass, seismic activity, etc) provided from security systems and to notify/ inform responsible persons/ units about the situation ensuring thateveryone is acting according to the proper responsibilities.
• To coordinate response and realize multi-directional communications with relevant internal or external Security staff /companies/ state units to provide ongoing protection of BKT personnel, customers and assets.
• To liaise with emergency services in the event of incidents or whenever needed.
• To realize all periodical testing of security systems in collaboration with branches and H.O. units and to report all issues found according to the standard procedures and given instructions.
• To interact closely and continuously with all departments/ branches/ contracted companies/ State Institutions related to issues found/ requests with high level of professionalism, care and integrity at all times.
• To serve as intermediary to channel communications between bank units and serve as a primary disaster communications line for bank and related entities.
• To assume responsibility and take necessary actions for problem resolution.
• To adapt to changes or problems that may be encountered while performing routine daily activities.
• To monitor various systems including CCTV systems for both local and remote properties, alarm and fire systems, a variety of access systems including badge, perimeter and internal secured areas etc.
• To operate a variety of computer systems such as Windows Operating System and other proprietary software packages.
• To review and disseminate video images using Digital Video Recordings when directed to provide current time data for communicating incident information as required. This may require viewing criminal activity that is in the act or has been committed.
• Is responsible for handling all incoming alarm signal activities and taking appropriate action per instruction, including video surveillance and monitoring of security equipment’s.
• To initiate necessary action when irregular signals are received or trouble develops.
• To work/coordinate with PPSS and branch staff to ensure that signals are received properly and that circuits and signaling devices are restored to normal operation.
• Must be able to adhere to standard operating procedures and special instructions.
• To respond quickly and precisely to incoming phone calls.
• To document all alarm activity and activity reports delivering them to superiors.
• Be proactive in searching for any criminal activity, unsecure / unsafe activity or unethical behavior. Keep close surveillance on every bank unit and make detailed notes of any such activity observed or violation of Branch or HO Internal Security Regulations, treat and report them on time to superiors.
• To continuously report on improvement needs related with founded issues on daily monitoring.
• To maintain the Monitoring Centre by keeping a cleaned and well-organized area.
• To not allow any unapproved access at Monitoring Centre.
• To participate in seminars regarding his/her job, training programs and meetings when it is required.
• To perform all the duties given related to the emergency situations, evacuation plan and emergency infrastructure.
• To perform other duties assigned by Physical Department Manager.

Requirments
- To possess a High School Diploma (Technical School Diploma will be preferable).
- To have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in related field (will be preferable).
- To have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- To be strictly reserved and confident about all security information.
- To possess high integrity.
- To be careful, observant, disciplined, demanding, multitask and well-organized in work.
- To possess qualities required by Bank’s internal regulation.
- To have knowledge about communication applications.
- To use multiple software applications including MS Office.
- To have good command of English language.
