Job Title: Head of Unit
Department: Custody & Depository Unit
Reports to: Manager, Back Office Services

TIRANA BANK, one of the leading banks in Albania and member of Balfin Group, is currently seeking to hire a hardworking and proactive person to lead Custody & Depository Unit.

The Head of this Unit will be responsible for developing expertise in core Custody and Funds Depository activities. This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment. In this role, the Head of Unit will need to balance multiple tasks in order to meet tight deadlines, to coach and drive the staff toward achieving the objectives.

Main Duties / Responsibilities:

Perform reconciliation process and ensure immediate action, research, and troubleshoot all reconciliation outages;• Perform controls for the data and valuation integrity of all security information;
Perform controls on daily bases the processes;
Monitors and controls regulatory and statistical reports;
Be guided towards solving problems and giving alternatives;
Be proactive and initiator to changes, developments and implementation of new alternatives;

Required experience:

10 years minimum of Banking experience, out of which, 3 years in senior positions;
preferably - knowledge in the relevant field, or similar;

Required education:

Bachelor in Economy/Financials/Engineering;
Certificates / other documents in this specific activity will be an added value;
Master Degree (preferable);

Required competencies / skills:

Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues;
The ability to quickly master business systems;
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy;
Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communications/negotiation skills;
Very good knowledge and use of English language (verbal and written);
Possessing strong work ethics;
Business concept and business initiative;
Work with high volume & tight deadline environment;
Very good managerial skills;
