Legal Advisory Manager
Our client is a well-known international consulting group operating successfully in Albania for many years. Quality leadership and development of the people represent cornerstones of their strategy and success in different countries.
Due to its business expansion in Albania and the region, our client opens the new vacancy of Legal Advisory Manager
Job Summary
As a Legal Advisory Manager, you’ll combine technical skills with practical commercial, legislative and industry knowledge to provide tailored advice to your clients and to build valued relationships with them and your internal peers. You’ll actively establish, maintain and strengthen internal and external relationships and make sure that the work delivered to clients is of high quality. As part of this, you’ll anticipate and identify risks and escalate issues as appropriate. As an influential member of the management team, you’ll help to create a positive learning culture and will coach and counsel junior team members and help them to develop.
You will report to the Legal Partner for Albania and Kosovo.
Client responsibilities
- Manage and participate in client engagements
- Manage engagement economics by organizing staffing, tracking fees and communicating issues to project leaders/ partners
- Participate in business development initiatives
- Manage assignments originating from the group international network and from locally developed clientele basis
- Understand the strategy, priorities, challenges and concerns of each individual client
- Monitor regulations, legislative activity and publications to stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations
- Help people to develop through effectively supervising, coaching and mentoring staff
- Conduct performance reviews and contribute to performance feedback for staff
- Contribute to people initiatives, including recruiting, retaining and training of staff
- Maintain an educational program to develop personal skills on an ongoing basis
- Understand and follow workplace policies and procedures
- Delegate work efficiently (i.e.-explain the issues, the purpose of the assignment, the scope of work, the issues that need to be addressed, follow –up with the team etc)
- Build strong internal relationships
- Strong academic law background in both undergraduate and graduate level
- +6 years of relevant work experience in senior position with an international consulting firm
- Very good knowledge and multi-year experience in the commercial, labor law and tax legislation
- Specific experience in preparation and review of commercial contracts, such as distribution agreements or commissionaire arrangements etc; or in legal due diligence and structuring of SPA and JV agreements; or in any regulated industry such as Oil &Gas (Petroleum Sharing Agreements), pharmaceuticals, energy or banking will be considered a significant plus
- Knowledge of the Kosovo regulatory environment would also be an advantage
- Ability to apply Quality & Risk Management procedures
- Excellent knowledge of English
- Excellent PC skills
- Superior communication and writing skills; ability to write white papers on topical subjects for publications
- Ability to interact successfully with internal and external customers: partners, other team members and departments, and customers and various authorities
