Mission
The Assistant Front Office Manager at Meliá Durrës will support the Front Office Manager in developing and implementing the departmental strategy, committed to achieving excellence in customer satisfaction and optimizing the economic and human resources under their responsibility.
What You Will Do
- Ensure Front Office staff complete tasks to support service.
- Help the Front Office Manager assign tasks to team members.
- Follow all reception policies and procedures.
- Ensure cash handling and operations follow established policies.
- Communicate regularly with the Housekeeping Department.
- Keep staff updated on pricing, rates, special offers, and packages.
- Address and resolve guest complaints, exceeding guest expectations and needs.
- Handle receptionist tasks as needed, ensuring guests are checked in and out quickly and efficiently, including digital check-ins.
- Respond to customer inquiries politely and in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate guest profiles with preferences.
- Promote upselling and hotel services to increase sales and revenue.
- Support achieving the department’s financial goals.
- Develop team members and trainees, and identify high-potential staff.
- Understand the Brand’s philosophy and ensure staff follow standards.
- Personalize guest experiences and exceed their expectations.
- Know the hotel’s services, facilities, and events, and make sure the team can promote them.
What We Are Looking For
- 3-5 years in a similar position within the hotel sector.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in English and Albanian; knowledge of a third language is a plus.
- Familiarity with hotel management software, such as Opera or similar.
- Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Skills in handling complaints and claims.
- Effective communication and ability to manage teams and supervise.
- Strong service-oriented attitude.
- Organizational and planning skills.
- Proactivity and innovation.
- A university degree or higher education in Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field is preferred.
