Customer Service Engineer/ Telecom

A leading company, provider of telecom hardware, software and services, and serving to a large number of Communications Service Providers is looking for experienced Albanian engineers to join their team in the position of Customer Service Engineer.


MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
:
Works independently and in team to provide network operations and maintenance services to customers according to maintenance agreements and internal procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
:

  • Act as customer’s local interface, with more experienced colleagues, and provide technical support services to them
  • Assist in first level technical support for technical queries according to customer contract and internal support model
  • Provide software support, including fault management and software /hardware upgrades
  • Conduct knowledge searches for potential solutions and other requests in progress
  • Record information into support tools periodically and conduct on site trouble shooting if required.
  • Learn customer specific parameters in the network elements’ subsystems by working with more experienced colleagues and understand KPI and the impact on the performance of the system
  • Perform local SW (or HW) maintenance activities such as installation & test of technical/change notes /change deliveries
  • Assist in complex technical activities such as SW upgrades and technical audits on site
  • Review or participate basic HW/SW installation and commissioning on request
  • Assist, on request, on installation and/or commissioning and/or integration activities, network expansion activities and technical/customer acceptance testing
  • Participate in multivendor and 3rd party activities (installation, integration, interface troubleshooting)
PROFILE REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Electric/Electronic/Telecom and/or Computer Engineering
  • Familiar with the principles/applications of mobile communications
  • Experience creating technical processes, procedures and reports
  • IP troubleshooting experience
  • Flexibility in working hours and working away from home for long periods at short notice
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication, presentation and customer interfacing skills
  • Good English and interpersonal skills
  • PC literate
  • Driving license
