Claim Appeal Specialist (Operations)
(Remote, US Based – Chicago)

The Company
A rapidly growing eCommerce retailer that specializes in luxury indoor and outdoor furniture.

RESPONSIBILITES:
  • Liaising between Vendors and Carriers for claim resolution
  • Verify claim data (photos of damage, defects, etc.); communicate professionally with customers when necessary
  • Review denied claims and follow-up with carriers/vendors for appeals
  • Record and update data in internal modules
  • Monitoring claims daily and prioritizing old claims to be resolved
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (communication, listening, verbal/written)
  • Operations cross-training
REQUIREMENTS:
  • 1-3 years of claims experience, including appeal
  • Operations and/or logistics experience
  • Proven record of working both efficiently and independently
  • High school diploma
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills, sound business decision maker, analytical, time management,
    attention to detail, organized, demonstrated communication skills and presentation skills.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • A proactive problem-solver and process-improver
  • Comfortable in building and maintaining relationships within and outside the company
  • Able to drive forward multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Proficient with MS Excel, to include medium level skills such as filtering and pivot tables
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors, carriers, and team members
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
POSITION:
The position is remote.
  • 1 hour paid lunch
Details:
  • M-F 9:00AM - 5:00PM CST
  • Hourly pay, $4 to $7 USD
  • Job Type: Full-time
