Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes according to menu and hotel standards.
- Support the Chef de Partie in managing a particular kitchen station (e.g., grill, sauté, pastry, vegetables).
- Ensure timely and consistent food preparation during high-volume periods.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and hygiene of the workstation.
- Monitor portion control and minimize food wastage.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Assist in inventory management and report shortages to the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
- Support training and mentoring of junior kitchen staff as required.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations and high standards.
- Proven experience in a similar role within a high-standard kitchen environment is preferred.
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional qualification is an advantage.
- Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, seasonal environment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.
