The Embassy of Brazil in Tirana announces a recruitment for the hiring of 1 (one) Support Assistant for the official residence of the Brazilian ambassador in Tirana, open only to Albanian citizens or foreign residents with a work permit, in accordance with the provisions of Law 11.440/06, Decree 1.570/95, and the regulations of the Ministerial Ordinance of 12.09.95/MRE, and in accordance with the requirements of this Notice.

Duties and Obligations

The candidate selected for the position of Support Assistant must perform the role of Chef-Cook,
carrying out tasks related to the position and occasionally in official receptions, at the official residence, at the chancery,
or at any location where an Embassy event be held.

2. Requirements

Candidates must demonstrate:

a) Fluency in oral and written Albanian and English;
b) Proof of registration with the local social security system;
c) Additional points will be awarded to those who demonstrate fluency in Portuguese, Spanish, or Italian;
d) Legal residence in Albania and permission to work, in the case of non-Albanians;
e) Good criminal and police records;
f) Medical fitness, proven by a medical certificate;
g) Minimum age of 18 years;
h) Candidates of Brazilian nationality must also present:

i. Proof of electoral discharge and compulsory military service (men only);
i. Proof of inability to join the local social security system, as required by Albanian law;
ii. Declaration that they do not hold any public office, job, or function.

3. Registration

Candidates must submit the following documents to the Embassy by email (scanned copies), by mail, or in person (printed copies):

a) The REGISTRATION FORM (below attached);
b) Copy of identity card or passport;
c) Curriculum vitae;
d) 1 photo
e) Optional documents: cover letter, proof of language proficiency at a proficiency level, school certificate, and any other relevant academic and professional qualifications.

4. Deadline and address

The REGISTRATION FORM (below attached) and other necessary documents for registration (paragraph 5 above) must be submitted by 1:00 PM, Wednesday, 29 of October 2025. Only candidates who submit all required documents will be considered. 5. Recruitment Process

Phase 1


Candidates who meet the registration requirements listed in paragraphs 2 and 3 will be pre-selected through the analysis of documents and information provided.

Phase 2

Candidates approved in phase 1 will be interviewed. The interviews will be conducted in Albanian and English. The selected candidate will be notified of their approval by email.

6. Validity

The final result of the recruitment process will be published on the website of the Embassy of Brazil in Tirana and will be valid for a period of 12 (twelve) months from the announcement date. The selected candidates will be called according to the classification points obtained whenever a vacancy occurs.

7. Contract regime

  • The selected candidate will be invited to take the position by signing the temporary contract on a date set at the Embassy of Brazil in Tirana. The contract will be governed by Albanian law, for a period not exceeding 12 months, including a probationary period of three months. The employee will receive a gross monthly salary of 116,447.00 Lek. The Embassy will deduct from the employee's gross salary all mandatory contributions and taxes in accordance with Albanian law.
c) The workload will be 40 hours per week.
