Transit Voice Core Specialist

Purpose of the position: To develop, deploy, operate, and implement new interconnections for Transit Voice Core Switch Nodes.

Main Tasks:

  • Define and establish development, testing, release, update, and support processes for Core Transit Switch Nodes (e.g., CS, SBC).
  • Monitor system performance, make necessary adjustments, and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Resolve functional and operational issues, and perform recovery actions to ensure system stability.
  • Handle complaints from national and international voice traffic carriers and follow up on standby processes.
  • Prepare planning documents and work orders for new implementations in Core Transit Switch Systems (e.g., CS, SBC).
  • Draft reports on service performance and network element (NE) KPIs.
  • Oversee the integration and implementation of new national and international voice traffic carriers/customers.
Education: University degree in Telecommunication Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or equivalent.

Experience and Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of full-time experience as a Core Engineer, with hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure

Required Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of Core network equipment and protocols (e.g., SIP, TCP, UDP).
  • Solid understanding of Voice Routing concepts.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.
  • Team-oriented with strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Willingness to work overtime when necessary.
  • Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
