SOS Children’s Villages Albania, one of the biggest international civil organisations in the country operating in social and child welfare field is looking for:

  • Chief of Accountant
Responsibilities:
  • Defines financial policy, objectives, priorities and actions (e.g. unified accounting policy)
  • Ensures the implementation of SOS Kinderdorf International guidelines, standards and local legislation.
  • Defines and implements a budgeting procedure (MBF, Budget); leads the budgeting process together with National Director
  • Ensures that budgets meet the qualitative SOS Kinderdorf International requirements in due dates
  • Defines and implements a budget control procedure (Budget Comparison)
  • Defines and implements an internal audit procedure and conducts internal audit
  • Follows up external auditors recommendations and coordinates external audit
  • Monitors that finance staff has required qualification and competence
  • Communicates National Association accounting staff training needs to Human Resource Assistant and National Director
  • Carries out trainings for National Association accounting staff agreed with National Director
  • Ensures that SOS accounting programme is installed and properly run in National Association (NAVISION)
  • Ensures quality and timeliness of bookings to SOS accounting programme and quality and timeliness of financial reports to SOS Kinderdorf International, Board and Facilities
  • Is the contact person in financial issues between National Office and Regional Office
Job requirements:
  • University Degree in Finance or other recognized Accountancy qualification
  • At least 2 years work experience as accountant or Financial Controller
  • Good written and spoken English
