Responsibilities:
- Ability to complete a month-end and year-end closing processes
- Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics, and variances from the budget and report significant issues to management
- Maintain the chart of accounts, an orderly accounting filing system and a system of controls over accounting transactions
- Preparation and posting of monthly journal entries
- Accounts Payable and bank reconciliations
- Assist with processing vendor invoices for payment
- Responsible for timely and accurate reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
- High volume of bank reconciliations
- Assists the Controller with the preparation and implementation of accounting policies and procedures
- Code expenses to the proper general ledger accounts
- Responsible for multi-entry accounting
- Follow and improve existing processes to improve controlling
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3-5+ years of experience as an Accountant
- Experience working with multiple entities/companies is required
- Knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition is a plus
- Working with COD businesses
- Knowledge of GAAP standards
- QuickBooks Online experience
- Must be an excellent problem solver, with strong attention to detail and administrative skills as well at the ability to meet deadlines
- Strives to continually identify areas for improvement in the business
