Purpose/Main Objectives: To efficiently, responsibly and actively manage an allocated caseload and ensure that cases are progressed properly and timeously. To provide any support required by the Head of Department, by the Department’s solicitor(s), or by others within the firm. To act on behalf of Head of Department as required. To positively promote quality of service to clients, raising the quality level wherever possible. To build and maintain good, effective working relationships with clients and with colleagues.


Responsibilities & Duties:
· Deal with delegated cases as required, reporting progress to the Head of Department
· Ensure quality of service standards met or exceeded
· Follow internal methods, policies, and procedures as set by the Office Manual
· Carry out file reviews as appropriate
· Advise and assist clients.
· Carry out appropriate preparation for cases.
· Liaise with courts, counsel, counsel's clerks, and witnesses.
· Carry out legal research. Remain informed of changes in any area of specialisation, such that service quality is always maintained.
· Deal promptly with correspondence.
· Adhere to accurate and comprehensive file management and maintenance practices according to company policy and procedures. Use the company’s case management system.
· Record working time in accordance with company policy and guidance.
· Work as part of a team, and demonstrate a collaborative approach without diluting individual responsibility.
· Gather relevant information and evidence on a case. This includes researching the facts of the case as well as identifying the appropriate law, judicial decisions, and legal articles relevant to the case.
· Draft legal documents, including pleadings, application notices and witness statements
· Respond to clients’ requests, emails and post in a prompt and professional manner; answer telephones/emails in a professional manner.
· Network with clients and build valuable relationships in a way that enhances the company’s reputation.




Skills & Qualifications:


· Bachelor of Laws Degree
· A Master of Laws (LL.M.)
· Located in Tirana, Albania.
· Business fluent English language knowledge.
· Business fluent Italian language knowledge.
· Ability to multi-task and prioritise, and understand the importance of deadlines.
· Highly organised; able to be productive, flexible and simultaneously manage multiple cases and priorities in a performance-driven environment.
· Superior research and data maintenance skills.
· Strong client relationship skills; the ability to establish positive, co-operative and professional relationships, both internal and external.
· Being highly trustworthy, discreet, and using good judgement.
· Ability to work well under pressure, without sacrificing attention to detail.
· Excellent oral and written communication is essential.
· Self-starter and the ability to work autonomously; pro-active and eager to learn.
· Self-awareness and a commitment to using feedback to learn and develop as a professional.
· Ability to read, digest and process large amounts of information into data that can be used in a legal case.
· Computer literacy.
