Position Title: ESG and HSE Supervisor
Department: HSE & ESG
Reports to: HR & ESG Director
Key Responsibilities
ESG & Social Compliance
- Coordinate and prepare for third‑party and customer social compliance audits.
- Maintain and update documentation related to labor standards, working conditions, and ethical practices.
- Support the implementation and reporting of Higg FSLM, GRS, and other social compliance tools.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to address audit findings and implement corrective action plans.
- Monitor changes in customer requirements and ESG/social compliance standards.
- Conduct internal assessments, training, and awareness programs.
- Monitor facility performance, identify gaps, and execute remediation plans for ESG and social compliance issues.
- Manage all activities related to FLA affiliation, including assessments, documentation, remediation tracking, and performance reporting.
- Prepare ESG and social compliance performance reports for senior leadership.
- Support data collection, verification, and reporting for Higg FEM.
- Coordinate with departments to collect environmental performance data (energy, water, waste, emissions, chemicals).
- Establish and monitor waste management procedures ensuring proper segregation, storage, recycling, and disposal practices.
- Assist in environmental improvement projects (resource efficiency, waste reduction, chemical management improvements).
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and customer sustainability standards.
- Lead or co‑lead continuous improvement initiatives focusing on environmental performance and resource optimization.
- Support the maintenance and implementation of HSE management systems (e.g., ISO 14001).
- Conduct routine safety inspections, risk assessments, and incident/accident investigations.
- Develop, deliver, and support safety training and awareness programs.
- Maintain accurate HSE records including incident logs, training records, and compliance documentation.
- Conduct internal HSE audits, develop improvement actions, and follow up on preventive measures.
- Monitor and reinforce condition safety to ensure workplace infrastructure meets safety standards.
- Lead behavior‑based safety (BBS) initiatives to improve safety culture and reduce unsafe actions.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on HSE performance, risk prevention, emergency readiness, and employee protection.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Sustainability, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in ESG, HSE, or social compliance roles, preferably in garment/textile manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience with Higg Index (FEM & FSLM) and social compliance audit protocols.
- Strong understanding of labor laws, environmental regulations, and international buyer standards.
- Strong analytical, coordination, and communication skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work cross‑functionally and with external auditors.
