We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our team and lead data-driven initiatives that transform complex information into strategic insights.
The ideal candidate will combine analytical expertise, technical proficiency, and business understanding to design intelligent solutions in a cloud-based environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect, clean, and analyze large and diverse datasets to extract meaningful insights and trends.
• Develop, train, and deploy machine learning and predictive models to support decision-making and optimize business processes.
• Design and implement algorithms to improve efficiency in areas such as risk management and fraud detection.
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data pipelines, architecture, and storage systems meet analytical requirements.
• Develop AI and deep learning prototypes, ensuring scalability and performance in cloud environments.
• Create clear and effective data visualizations to communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and GDPR standards throughout all data science processes.
• Monitor model performance, perform tuning, and continuously improve analytical accuracy and reliability.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies, tools, and best practices in data science, AI, and cloud computing.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree (EQF Level 6) in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related discipline.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of data analysis, statistical methods, and probability theory.
• Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL for data processing and model development.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks (Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, Keras, Pandas, NumPy).
• Familiarity with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, OVH).
• Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib.
• Understanding of data governance, data quality, and the ability to produce technical documentation.

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in data analysis, machine learning, and model implementation.
• Hands-on experience in applying analytical models to real-world business or policy challenges.
• Proven ability to communicate technical findings clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.

Preferred Certifications:

• AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist Associate
• Google Professional Data Engineer
• Cloudera Certified Data Scientist (CCP: DS)
