Job position: Business Development Manager, Energy Trading

Department: Project Management Department

Location: Tirane

Summary: Builds market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships.


Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Identifies trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements; tracking individual contributors and their accomplishments.
  • Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities.
  • Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities; recommending equity investments.
  • Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners' needs and goals.
  • Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations (Elbasan, Tirana, Bulqize).
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations/ meetings in institutions linked to the energy market MEI / ERE / OT etc..
  • Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Active participation in the Stock Exchange of energy and deal through contacts and supplier of energy for favorable prices
  • Responsible for contracts to supply customers, power purchase contracts with suppliers, contract or agreement with OT participation in the market, etc.
  • Responsible for implementation and monitoring of technical procedures related to measurement, consumption checks, such as imbalances in the site of Burrel / Bulqize / Elbasan and OT.
  • Responsible for supervision and management of site engineer (NST Electric Elbasan), technical and administrative staff in all areas where AES is functioning.


Requirements for the position:
Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in business studies, building technology, engineering, environmental; preferred a PHD in Business Administration
  • Individual must possess a minimum of 5 years combined leadership experience
  • Good understanding of electrical and mechanical systems as well as knowledge of the energy use of organizations
  • Must have direct management experience with large-scale initiatives involving significant investments amounts and implications, a large staff, and involving diverse stakeholder groups.
