Our company is currently seeking one (1) Applications Programmer.
This is a contract opportunity slated to begin immediately, and is projected to be 1 year in length with the possibility of extending. This individual would be developing codes for our existing Hospital Management Software and would need to have superior experience writing codes using .Net.
Strong Database skills are also required.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
· Participating in analysis and system design specification sessions;
· Developing code and writing software application programs;
· Develops and codes programs to integrate multiple subsystems;
· Identifying and recommending system enhancements to improve or expand customer services by anticipating customer problems and recommending solutions;
· Working closely with other team members to ensure consistency in coding standards and approaches and to optimize any synergy and re-use opportunities;
· Leading technical aspects of project from inception through to deployment;
· Ensuring that solutions adhere to development best practices and architectural principles;
· Applying analytical skills to resolve problems and deliver viable solutions;
· Anticipating obstacles and execute proactive approaches to issues;
· Active participation in issue resolution;
· Providing detailed development estimates to Project Manager for development effort as well as weekly status reporting and budget forecasting;
· Configuration management for the sub projects within the release;
· Responsible for coding, testing, packaging, deployment and support of builds as code is promoted from development, system, acceptance and production environments;
· Leading code reviews;
· Working closely with a management team to ensure that environments are fully functional and that builds are properly deployed;
· Tracking defects, defect triage and resolution;
· Coaching and mentoring of junior developers;
· Knowledge transfer within group and, ensuring required documentation is housed in the project repository and that knowledge transfer has occurred to full time staff upon completion of contract term.
Skills and Qualifications
The qualified candidate must have:
· 2+ years of commercial application development experience using C#.NET, ASP.NET
· 2+ years experience in SQL Server database development, Oracle strongly preferred
· Industry equivalent experience may require specific industry or platform experience.
· Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related equivalent
