EPPC Albania, on behalf of its client, a technology company with offices in the center of Tirana, is recruiting for the position of Tech Lead (Platform Engineer).

We are looking for a hands-on Platform Engineer/Tech Lead to lead the design and build of an HR modular product platform from the ground up. This role owns the technical foundation of the system defining architecture, data model, security standards, and release processes while actively designing and implementing core components.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Define modular architecture (APIs, services, database, permissions, audit, configuration versioning);
  • Design the database (PostgreSQL preferred): relationships, migrations, change history, audit logs;
  • Establish security baseline: RBAC, tenant segregation, sessions, secrets management, backups, logging;
  • Set up release process: dev/test/prod environments, CI/CD, versioning, rollback, release checklist, quality gates;
  • Define standards and conduct code reviews, mentor developers, resolve complex issues;
  • Collaborate with delivery/consulting to translate real use cases into modules/parameters (no ad-hoc custom code).
Requirements for this position are:
  • Proven experience building web/application systems (backend, database, architecture);
  • Strong database design expertise (migrations, audit, versioning);
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD, Docker, and release/rollback processes;
  • Solid security fundamentals (RBAC, logging, backups, secrets management);
  • Experience building or maintaining operational B2B tools (workflows, permissions, audit systems);
  • Experience with enterprise integrations (import/export processes, scheduled jobs);
  • Python/FastAPI (preferred) or .NET/Java;
  • Strong hands-on engineer (actively writes production code);
  • Experience taking systems from “zero to production” (real releases, real bugs, real stabilization);
  • Ability to design scalable, pragmatic architectures that evolve without unnecessary complexity;
  • Pragmatic mindset with strong product orientation.
