We are looking for an innovative and pro-active National Sponsorship Coordinator/Loyalty Expert to join our team, with excellent organizational skills and interested in child protection topics.

We work to prevent family breakdown and care for children who have lost parental care, or who risk losing it. We work with communities, partners and states to ensure that the rights of all children are respected and fulfilled.

Required criteria:

  • Possesses education geared towards business administration, fundraising or languages;
  • A proven track record of at least 3-5 years in individual giving, marketing or sales;
  • Has at least 2 years of experience in CRM (Customer Relationship Management) / donor lifetime cycle;
  • Feels comfortable with taking care of long-lasting customer / donor relationships;
  • Has a fundraising approach - optimistic person; creative and result oriented; attitude of never-give-up and try-again;
  • Shows motivation for quality assurance;
  • Is able to identify with the vision, mission and values of SOS Children's Villages;
  • Has excellent written and spoken English skills;
  • Good MS Office 365+ commands, ability to work with digital tools and social networks.

Needed competencies - knowledge, skills, abilities:

  • Knowledge and experience in customer relationship management (donor lifetime cycle);
  • Possesses excellent organisational skills;
  • Likes working in a national and international setting and with customers from varying cultural backgrounds;
  • Has an interest in child protection topics;
  • Is a good communicator with excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Can design and create innovative, inspiring messages and stories for sponsors and donors;
  • Has an eye for design and layout;
  • Is able to convey complex issues in written communication with donors (optional: experience in emergency/crisis communication);
  • Likes working with or within a team and virtual team.

Main Responsibilities:
As Sponsorship Coordinator (~50%)

  • Designs messages directed at sponsors and donors and writes exciting, honest and inspiring messages for them
  • Acts as intermediary between sponsors and children or programmes to safeguard the respective rights and interest of both groups
  • Oversees, organises and manages sponsorship work in the country and assures/ monitors quality
  • Implements and follows up on international project aimed towards increasing the level of
  • service quality and stewardship towards sponsors
  • Builds, trains and guides a team of sponsorship co-workers at programme level
  • Trains and guides other staff involved in sponsorship activities.


  • As Loyalty Expert (~50%)
  • She/he is innovative and creative in building long-term relationships with existing individual donors (focus on committed givers) according to the business plan and targets, based on
  • SOS best practises, competitor's activities, research, tests and continuous evaluation of retention opportunities, methods and results.
  • The aim is to have a state-of-the-art donor retention program for regular monthly donors (committed givers) in place, to build long lasting relationships with individual donors (donor lifetime cycle) and to apply database management in form of donor relationship management principles and donor segmentation for retention activities.
  • The expert is responsible for fulfilling the business plan and for reaching the set and agreed targets concerning donor retention.
  • She/he plans, monitors, analyses and evaluates each donor retention activity against defined and agreed KPIs/ Controlling Figures (such as response rates, PBT (payback time), attrition rate, LTV – life-time-value)

In the framework of child protection policy:

  • Has the responsibility to protect children from all forms of abuse, abandonment, manipulation, violence and discrimination;
  • Has the responsibility to report any suspicions, concerns, allegations or incidents regarding the safety of children immediately;
  • Has the responsibility to act without delay; delay in action can lead the child to further risks;
  • Includes the right people at the right time; reporting should be made to the child protection group at program level and / or to the line manager;
  • Ensures confidentiality and sharing of information as needed;

Terms:
  • Full-time, 5 days a week: Mon-Fri;
  • Workplace in a centrally located office in Tirana;
  • Employment contract in accordance with the Labour Legislation of the Republic of Albania;
  • Training both at the beginning and in the process of work;
  • A team of friendly professionals ready to help.
