We are seeking to welcome a qualified Senior Operational Risk Officer (Band 4T) reporting directly to Head of Market, Liquidity & Operational Risk Management Department.

Overall Job Definition
Senior Operational Risk Officer
works closely with all relevant Bank’s units to identify and limit the operational risk associated with a bank’s operations. His/her responsibilities involve assessing business operations, identifying any operational risk related issues during projects implementation, processes and new initiatives, and preparing impact assessments on the relevant findings. He/she will help with the review and development of procedures, policies and implementation of changes to lessen operational risks. Other duties include continually monitoring business processes to find potential new threats and ensuring bank compliance with regulatory and internal regulations. He/she will be in charge as well of operational risk related projects acting as project manager for implementation and development of Operational risk tools to improve operational risk management as well as represent the Market, Liquidity & Operational Risk Management Department in various projects of the Bank from the operational risk perspective.

Detyrat​

Main Responsibilities:
  • Consult and collaborate with internal stakeholders to better understand potential sources of operational and fraud risk during new initiatives, designing of business requirements, new and reviewed processes, product needs and alternative solutions, to ensure minimum exposure towards operational risk and mitigate operational risk incidents;
  • Be involved in the execution of projects, processes and initiatives that encompass all aspects of bank’s business objectives covering operational risk aspects;
  • Identify any gaps in compliance with regulatory requirements related to operational and fraud risk management within projects and operational processes by performing impact assessments;
  • Assist in the development and implementation of procedures and policies that manage operational risk;
  • Propose and ensure implementation of controls and Key Risk Indicators for monitoring and mitigation of operational and fraud risks;
  • Provide trainings and assistance to bank employees to ensure consistent application of operational and fraud risk procedures and policies;
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in regulations and industry best practices, ensuring the organization's compliance with all relevant regulations;
  • Develop set of periodic reports and create and maintain the operational risk framework, as well as propose action plans or improvements in systems, processes, trainings, permanent control in order to reduce the Bank’s exposure towards operational risk;
  • Perform other duties as required and assigned by the manager.

Kualifikimet​

  • Strong knowledge of banking regulations, operational and fraud risk concepts and mitigation techniques and practices,
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills;

  • Having experience in project management skills would be considered an asset.
