Islamic Relief Albania is seeking to hire a Project Coordinator to join our team.

CONTRACT DURATION: One year with possibility extension

Islamic Relief has been active in The Republic of Albania since 1991, IR Albania office started officially its operation in Albania in 1994. IRA implements its projects through regional field offices. Our office deal with our three main programs of Orphan Welfare, Emergency, Relief Programs and Development Projects. Job Summary
The Project Coordinator has overall management responsibility for HEALTH project, is responsible for ensuring the schedule, budget and project activities are well organized and followed. This position is under the supervision of the Head of Programs & Program Coordinator.
Duties & Responsibilities
•Develop an implementation plan and ensure the effective tracking of the project
•Develop an action plan strategy for the implementation stage of this project to ensure the effectiveness of a collaborative service system approach
•Oversee the planning, implementation and evaluation
•Work closely with the field team and stakeholders
•Coordinate with the stakeholders for the success of the project
•Coordinate the Health project’s activities to ensure timely implementation of project activities to meet program’s objectives
•To develop progress reports based on monitoring plan and Log frame
•Ensure that project has a clear action plan in which it is reviewed periodically based on the feedback from the on-going project monitoring
•Ensure that project has a clear monitoring framework where the progress is effectively monitored through the regular collection and analysis of key indicators and ensure that processes and results are properly documented
•Conduct regular field visit to implement the project activities, monitor project progress, identify problem and recommend solution
•Conduct regular follow-up with the project team and right holders in the targeted areas
•Perform assigned related task by the Line Manager
•Oversee the project expenditure and hold budget management responsibility for the project including monitoring budget vs. expenditure; ensuring that costs are allocated correctly and expenditure is spent in line with the plan and agreement with the donor
•Develop timely and good quality reports to donor and Islamic Relief management as per the Islamic Relief Albania guidelines
•Ensure regular and effective communications are maintained within the project team and within Islamic Relief Albania for effective representation of IRA
Essential:
Knowledge, Experience, Skills and Qualifications
• At least two years of work experience in the same or similar jobs
• Ability to work independently and provide initiative in improving project functions.
• Experience in project proposal writing and concept notes
• To establish good working relationships with a variety of people.
• To work under pressure and prioritize effectively
• Previous experience working overseas, preferably with an NGO
• Very good (speaking, reading, writing) English.
• Working knowledge of MS Office
Qualifications:
Bachelor or Master degree from in Business, Health, Social Sciences, Development studies or related field.
