Software Engineer - Java (Mid-Senior)


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable and reliable Java code.
• Provide estimates for software development efforts and project planning
• Deliver project & technical documentation
• Conduct software analysis, testing, programming and debugging as necessary
• Gather and document requirements and work closely with stakeholders to prioritize tasks and the scope of development.
• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and proposing enhancements in applications and technologies.
• Maintain and update all existing applications as needed
• Collaborate effectively across teams

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor and/or Master Degree in Computer Science or Information systems
• Hands on experience in designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms
• Understanding of software development life cycle
• Familiarity with one of the major J2EE IDE tools
• Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL Server, Oracle or other relational databases experience.
• Configuring and using Application Servers (JBoss, Apache Tomcat).
• Development of Web Services and RESTful Services
• Software control versioning tools, preferably Gitlab
• Technical writing skills and ability to produce documentation for each phase of the SDLC.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Software Development Certifications are considered a plus.
