The job holder is accountable for fulfilling the roles and responsibilities in line with Islamic Relief values and principles of fairness, humanity, honesty, respect and fair treatment of colleagues and staff.
JOB PURPOSE:
We are seeking a dedicated HR Assistant to support the Human Resources Department in managing HR functions and administrative duties. The role requires a proactive individual who can effectively assist in recruitment, employee relations, and HR compliance while ensuring smooth office operations.
✨ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist in the recruitment process, including job postings, screening applications, and scheduling interviews.
• Maintain employee records and ensure HR documentation is up to date and compliant with labor laws.
• Support in onboarding and induction of new employees.
• Manage employee leave records, contracts, job descriptions and other HR-related documentation.
• Assist in employee relations, grievance handling, and disciplinary processes.
• Deal with administrative tasks, including office supplies, logistics, and facility management.
• Ensure HR policies and procedures are effectively implemented and communicated.
• Support the HR department in performance management and staff training initiatives.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity in all HR and administrative matters.
• Other duties related to the position.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Law or a related field.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in HR and administrative roles.
• Experience in the NGO sector (is an advantage)
• Relevant HR Trainings (is an advantage)
SKILLS
• Excellent word processing, excel and database skills.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Demonstrable administration and office management skills.
• Strong written communication skills necessary to draft letters, reports and other documentation.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
KNOWLEDGE
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of Albanian and English Language, Professional level (Obligatory)
• Knowledge and understanding of using relationship management database software.
• Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
