Job Position: Finance Manager
Location: Tirana

Summary:
Responsible for all aspects of financial and fiscal management of company operations. Provides management and coordination of business administrative planning, accounting, and company budgeting.

Main Responsibilities
Operational duties:

  • Manages, controls & supervises the finance department, manages reports and the reporting group.
  • Establishes and manages accounting projects for various projects as well as the location of the activity.
  • Owns and manages internal audit processes to protect the financial reporting company's assets.
  • Supervises and manages the finance department by ensuring good performance of the overall accounting function and reliable accounting data.
  • Takes care of the management of the reporting process of the CEO, Finance Director of Balfin Group, focusing on the financial performance of the company and its projects;
  • Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analyzes, information reports, and group reporting package for consolidation purpose.
  • Supervises the approval and processing of revenues, expenditures, and control documents, departmental budgets, account maintenance and input data.
  • Creates, coordinates, and evaluates financial programs and supports company information systems to include budgeting, tax planning, real estate, and asset.
  • Helps develop and improve business performance and profitability.
  • Approves and coordinates changes and improvements in automated financial and management information systems for the company.
  • Develops and directs the implementation of strategic business and / or operational plans, projects, programs and systems.
  • Assists the CEO and Finance Director of Balfin to implement and develop an oriented performance culture (financial and operational). Be a strong business partner of the company’s management team, advising them and contributing to the overall leadership of the company.
  • Communicates with other managers to provide support for consulting planning initiatives through financial information and management of analysis, reports, and recommendations.
  • Ensures that it complies with local and state budget reporting requirements, fiscal legislation, and legal requirements for high education institutions.
  • Responsible for preparing the company budget according to Group’s procedures.
  • Design and implementation of finance, accounting, billing, and audit procedures.
  • Establishment and maintenance of appropriate internal control protection measures.
  • Ensures that archived data is kept in line with generally accepted audit standards.
  • Assists in obtaining the necessary licenses and insurance to start a business.
  • Analyzes Cash Flow, cost controls and costs to guide business executives. Analyzes financial reports to identify potential weaknesses.
  • Creating and implementing short-term and long-term objectives, policies and procedures; on planning and policy-making commissions.
Managerial duties:

  • Organizes the work of employees (planning activities according to the existing scope of work);
  • Organizes and conducts operational meetings with employees in the sector.
  • Regularly monitors and, if necessary, resolves personnel issues within its sector (personnel selection, motivation, monitoring and evaluation of work performance, control of employee records), in cooperation with HR.
  • Informs employees about planned jobs, changes in work processes.
  • In cooperation with the HR determines the development needs for employees in its sector and controls their implementation.
  • Proposes the admission / termination of employment, as well as all corrective measures for employees within department.
Other activities:

  • Monitors legal regulations within its activities.
  • As a member of the team, participates in company projects in the function of improving the overall business of the company.
  • Strives to improve himself personally through training programs offered by the employer to his employees, as well as to implement the learned new skills and knowledge in his daily work.
  • If necessary, performs other tasks as ordered by the immediate superior.
Competencies and Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Accounting or Finance required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in accounting.
  • At least 3 years of managerial experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of English is required.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft package is a must.
  • Professional certifications in finance or accounting are considered a plus.
