Corporate Banking Senior Specialist/Specialist - Corporate Banking Department
Corporate bankers are responsible for managing the loan relationship between a corporate business and the bank.
The corporate banker will work with its senior management to identify opportunities, develop strategies, and implement plans that will help the bank to achieve its goals.
The candidate should have a great understanding about the Albanian banking industry, products and services, and very good interpersonal and communication skills.
The candidate is also tasked with identifying new business opportunities or developing new products or services that could benefit from financing.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Skills Required
Communication skills: To have good communication skills as the candidate is required to communicate with clients in person, over the phone or through email, as well as communicate with other departments within the Bank, such as Credit Assessment Department, Legal Affairs Department, Loan Operation Department, Collateral Appraisal Unit etc
Technical skills: to have the knowledge and ability to use software and technology to complete the work, including using software to create financial models, analyze data and communicate with customers.
Analytical skills: To have good analytical skills to analyze and interpret data and information, analyze financial data and present it in a way that is easy to understand. This can include creating graphs and charts to help explain the data.
Problem-solving skills: To be able to assess the client’s needs and develop a solution that meets their objectives, while adhering to all bank policies and procedures;
Business acumen: A company’s financial needs can change over time, so it is important to have a strong understanding of business practices and market developments, necessary to determine the best financial solutions for the clients.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
- To act as one of the key account persons in the Bank for establishing, managing and maintaining effective relationship with new and existing Corporate customers, while adhering to all bank policies and procedures.
- To examine and analyze deal structures / lending facilities within a broad industry context and set of predefined documents, perform the due diligence to ensure adherence to regulatory and credit eligibility parameters, negotiate and propose the deals to the Corporate customers;
- In line with the above, manage the Loan Pre-approval Requests by the branches for Corporate customers, and closely follow up with them to the conclusion of disbursement;
- To participate in development of new lending facilities/packages/collaboration programs and promote them to Corporate customers;
- To collaborate with other departments for addressing and solving customer issues up to the loan disbusement finalization and beyond; Oversee the evaluation of the proposed transaction’s risks, by Loan Assement Department, Legal Affairs Department, Appraisal Unit, Loan Operation Department and others, and present his/her recommendations to address and mitigate the risks, and finalize the deals to the appropriate authority level for approval.
- To visit branches and Corporate customers as needed, prepare discussion forms for the customer visits and provide those to supervisors; Coach the branches in fulfillment and completion of all necessary documentations to the finalization of loan disbursement;
- To stay abreast of changes in the marketplace, monitor continuously the market, financial and business performance of the borrowers and communicate this to the supervisor;
- To proactively establish, develop and utilize networks of internal and external contacts to identify new businesses / areas, and develop new loan products/loan packages to create additional income and aid achievement of income targets.
- To prepare offers for business products and follow up the cross selling within branch loan portfolio;
- To follow the respective targets given and coordinate the work with branches to have the targets reached and surpass them;
- Prepare monthly reports detailing loan activity and risk exposures, as requested;
- To continuously assess the quality of service provided to clients, ensuring service provision is of the highest quality; develop measures and processes to assess service levels and to identify potential improvements;
- To manage the database & file for all pre-approval applications, visit performed, call reports performed by staff etc.
- To be aware of workloads and volumes, provide guidance, and support when required;
- To prepare necessary reports requested by superiors;
- To perform on time other duties given by the Corporate Banking Department Head.

Education and Experience:
- Having graduated and completed master studies from relevant faculties: Economy, Business Administration and other economic majors
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in banking or similar field;
- Excellent command of English;
- Excellent knowledge of PC;
- Ability to communicate represent and co-ordinate;
