IT Systems Administrator – Media Industry
On behalf of our client, a well-established company operating in the media industry, we are seeking an experienced and proactive IT Systems Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize the organization’s IT infrastructure. This role is responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of servers, networks, virtualization environments, and end-user systems that support critical business and media operations.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Systems Administration
- Administer, maintain, and monitor Windows Server and/or Linux environments.
- Manage Active Directory, including user accounts, group policies, permissions, and access controls.
- Perform system monitoring, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and preventive maintenance.
- Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery procedures.
- Ensure high availability and reliability of IT services and infrastructure.
- Support and maintain LAN/WAN network infrastructure.
- Configure and troubleshoot VLANs, routing, switching, and network connectivity issues.
- Manage routers, firewalls, switches, and other network devices.
- Monitor network performance and implement security best practices.
- Assist in maintaining IT security standards, access controls, and vulnerability management.
Virtualization & Infrastructure Management
- Administer virtualized environments using VMware, Hyper-V, or similar technologies.
- Manage virtual hosts, virtual machines, and related infrastructure components.
- Support storage solutions, including SAN/NAS environments, when applicable.
- Participate in infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and system improvement projects.
- Provide second-level technical support for infrastructure-related issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve technical challenges.
- Maintain accurate documentation of systems, procedures, and configurations.
- Ensure compliance with company IT policies and operational standards.
Requirements
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Master’s degree is considered an advantage.
- Professional certifications such as Microsoft, VMware, Cisco, Fortinet, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in IT Systems Administration or a similar role.
- Proven hands-on experience managing and supporting enterprise IT infrastructure.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux administration.
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policies, and user management.
- Understanding of backup, restore, and system monitoring solutions.
- Good knowledge of LAN/WAN networking, VLANs, routing, and switching.
- Experience configuring and maintaining routers, firewalls, and network switches.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.
- Basic knowledge of storage technologies (SAN/NAS) is considered an advantage.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and IT security best practices.
