TIRANA BANK, one of the leading banks in Albania, is seeking to welcome a qualified candidate who likes challenges to join IT Department in the position of IT Network Administrator.


Overall Job definition:

The IT Network Administrator primary role will be to maintain a reliable, secure and efficient data communications network. The ideal candidate will be able to deploy, configure, maintain and monitor all active network equipment in order to ensure smooth network operation.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Maintains the stable operation of the in-house network infrastructure and systems by performing the planning, installation, configuration, maintenance, support, and optimization of the infrastructure hardware and software;
  • Installs & upgrades server hardware and storage;
  • Maintains virtualization software & Build server images;
  • Maintains operating systems on servers, including installation and patching, and operating Microsoft Server software stack ;
  • Applies security patches to OS and applications ;
  • Maintains backups and replication;
  • Maintains technical environment that supports third-party banking applications, and maintain releases & updates ;
  • Works closely with our technology vendor-partners that supply our technology and/or provide additional support, in the resolution of break/fix issues, installation of new and upgraded products, and designing network infrastructure to ensure its compatibility and supportability;
  • Works break/fix issues, determine root-cause of problems, perform research (via internet, vendors, internal resources) to determine best resolution, and implement appropriate solutions using network management tools, remote access tools, correspondence (email/phone) with internal customers, contacting vendors, etc.
  • Be available during non-production hours to implement systems and upgrades;
  • Be on rotational call 24x7 for emergency outages;


Required Competencies / Skills:
  • Holds a Master Degree in Computer Science, Informatics or any other similar degree;
  • Minimum of 3 years related work experience required;
  • Experience on VMWare vSphere server virtualization; .
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft server stack (AD, GPOs, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, SMTP, Exchange, SQL, IIS, proxy, etc.);
  • Experience in infrastructure operations software & utilities (performance & up/down monitoring, service desk, backup, packet capture, inventory control, remote control);
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft desktop stack (images, OS, fleet management, app software).
  • Experience on Third-party line-of-business applications (examples: new accounts, teller, document imaging, workflow, financial analysis) ;
  • Experience in Data centre colocation (racking, stacking, power, connectivity);
  • Experience on station wiring, patch panels, switches connections;
  • Very good knowledge of English language;
  • Well organized and has attention to detail;
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively while prioritizing heavy workloads and meeting time-sensitive deadlines;
  • Team player with a strong work ethic; promotes and enjoys a creative work environment;
