Core Switch Specialist

Purpose of the position: Development, Deployment, and Operation of MGW&IP-STP Core Nodes.

Main Tasks:
  • Defining and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for Core Switch nodes MSS, MGW&IPSTP Core nodes;
  • Monitors systems for required capacity planning and performance adjustments as necessary and acts upon findings;
  • Resolves functional & operational issues with vendor involvement. Perform required actions for issues recovery;
  • Customer complains handling & standby process follow up;
  • Active participation in team projects involvement;
  • Planning and work orders preparations for Core Switch Systems (MGW, MSS, IPSTP etc);
  • Drafting reports on services performance, NEs KPIs;
  • Performing Voice Roaming tests, and related follow up actions.
Education: University Degree in Electronics/Telecommunication.

Experience and Qualifications: 3+ years’ experience as full-time Core engineer, working experience with cloud infrastructure.

Skills:
  • Knowledge on Core network equipment’s;
  • Understanding of Core protocols (IP, TCP, UDP, SCTP, GTP, Radius, SIGTRAN, RANAP, GMM, Diameter);
  • Knowledge on TCP/IP, Switching & Routing, Networking, LAN & WAN;
  • Good Linux administration knowledge;
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft OS and Office Package;
  • Good language skills (written & spoke) in English;
  • Team working oriented and good communication skills;
  • High level of personal responsibility, self-motivating, open minded behavior.
