System Operations Team Leader

Purpose of the position:
Manage and organize within the team and cross teams the work to maintain, upgrade and expand the systems and databases in place used for managing company controls related to Revenue Assurance controls, fraud, and risk areas, basically all company risky areas.

Main Tasks:
  • Manage and organize team work to cover all the controls and duties as per their job profile.
  • Design and implement the controls in the respective DBs as requested by respective business owners.
  • Design and prepare regular processes/ routines for maintenance and operational database and systems, to make sure they are fully operational and updated/patched in accordance with security policies in company.
  • Design and prepare the disaster recovery plan for the system/database, having backups and all the tools to make the system/DB work again, in case of system or DB corruption/ failure.
  • Maintenance and operation of specific systems used by the Customer Finance Department:
    • Revenue Assurance System operation and database maintenance (SQL/Oracle).
    • B2B Profitability tool; (Visual basic) maintaining and expanding/adapting the model according to business needs. Create the model for new merged products including 2P, 3P &4P.
    • Risk Modelling of merged customer base; (SPSS-Scoring model); built up/update propensity models development and implementation to fit to business and customer behavior pattern dynamics; Data validation and accurate reporting.
  • Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements.
  • Monitor, update and create, implement, new rules/automation jobs requested by Customer Finance respective Teams (RA, Fraud or Risk) and specific area controls expansion.
  • Design, build and maintain configuration management and deployment automation, users, and access rights.
  • Update, or create new rules including coding of scripts and generation of alerts.
  • Extraction of data flows from respective systems DWH/ SAP& network infrastructure/Switches – mobile and fix, Billing etc. to RA DBMS.
  • Validate data formatting, fields, decoders output, to make sure having accurate results from reconciliations of the controls at the end.
  • Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns, undertaking data collection, preprocessing and analysis.
  • Building models to address business problems, presenting information using data visualization techniques.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product development teams, to propose solutions and strategies to business challenges.
  • Perform and/or assist with special ad hoc issues/projects as required by top management.
  • Provide error free reports and documentation, maintain system documentation.
    Take initiative to improve/adapt or create new processes related to the dataflows accuracy, format adaptation, source generation for all data flows, systems and sources related to the internal department jobs.
  • Ad hoc analyses on the specific product/process as per management request.
  • Other duties as per job responsibilities.
Education: Major degree in IT, Information Systems, Informatics, Computer or Data Science, preferably MSC in data science/IT.
Experience and Qualifications: AT least 5 years’ experience in a telecommunications company, in profiles listed by preference IT/BI; understanding the infrastructure and systems involved in a Telecommunication company offering of fix, mobile and broadband services; understanding the flow of data/processes within systems and logic of flow telecom to finance. Having a minimum of 3 years with hands on experience with BI systems, good understanding, and hands on experience of Revenue Assurance, Fraud and risk modeling operational systems.

Skills:
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience SQL, PL/SQL, PostgreSQL, Python, SPSS or Python or R and Power BI.
