Skills Provision is actively recruiting for Software Engineers, remote work, for a UK based company.[/COLOR]
We are looking for a Software Engineer:
Essential Skills and experience
· At least 5 years of experience of:
· You have a professional attitude and approach
The following are all relevant, but training will be provided in all these areas if needed:
· AngularJS
· jQuery
· ReactJS
· .NET 5
· Windows Forms programming
· Developing and consuming REST services
· OOP (Object Oriented Programming)
· TDD
Benefits:
· We work from home, but we can choose to use the office.
· Our core hours are from 10:00 to 16:00. You can fit your working pattern around this.
· We support flexible working: for example, some of the team work compressed hours.
· We allow people to work abroad for short periods of time (assuming they have a suitable environment), enabling them to extend their trips and enjoy for longer a place, family or similar.
Duties
Day-to-day, you’ll be involved with a wide range of activities which might include:
· Implementing new product features
· Fixing bugs
· Writing automated tests
· Developing and supporting our automated build system
· Working with business analysts or product owners to define new features
· Deploying releases to customer and cloud systems
· Moving older parts of the system to modern technologies
· Giving support to customers
Writing technical documentation
Out of hours working will occasionally be necessary to support customer roll outs.
We have a rota system where you’ll be able to gain extra days holiday in return for working evenings and weekends.
Subject to all restrictions being lifted, you may be required to travel to visit customer sites, but this was extremely unusual prior to the start of the pandemic.

- Web development on the Microsoft tech stack. (C#, .NET, HTML, CSS).
- SQL database programming. Ideally SQL Server.
- JavaScript programming.
- Using a source control system (we use TFS and git).
· You have a professional attitude and approach
- Self-disciplined
- Responsible attitude – you take ownership and see things through to completion
- Work well with others in a team.
- You care about the impact of your code over the non-functional requirements.
- You believe that knowledge is the right way to get things done.
