Project Manager - Engineering
​

Our Client is an international group based in Central Europe operating under concession agreement in Albania. The group is a civil contractor with strong diversified capabilities in earthwork, utilities and structures, recognized for its solid reputation with customers, vendors and subcontractors, embracing challenging work conditions and strict schedules. Presently they are expanding their operations in Albania and looking for a strong Project Manager with extensive experience.


Job Role: Project Manager - local hire

Position entails the assertive management of schedule, profitability, customer satisfaction, safety, quality control, onsite project team, and subcontractor/supplier management & coordination on heavy civil construction projects.
Position will report to corporate management in HQ.

Responsibilities:

  • Assume primary project leadership responsibilities in partnership with other key team members and project personnel
  • Evaluate the contractual scope of work. Plan, organize and staff key project positions through regional department heads, subordinate project managers, general superintendents, etc
  • Negotiate, prepare and issue subcontracts
  • Prepare issue and update master project schedule and variance reports to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget
  • Manage financial aspects of contracts (costs, billings, and collections) to maintain profitability goals and positive cash flow
  • Manage risks, investigate potentially serious situations to circumvent problems or promptly implement corrective measures as required
  • Ensure project document controls are in compliance with contract requirements and standards.
Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering ( Construction/ Mechanical/ Mining) ; advanced studies are preferred
  • +10 years of engineering experience with a minimum of 3 years of Project Manager experience preferably with international firms
  • English knowledge - Very Good
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Effective subcontractor/ supplier management and coordination skills
  • Job cost management, realistic forecasting and reporting capabilities
  • Experience using AutoCad 2D and other engineering software
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ERP systems.
  • Problem solving skills along with the ability to close issues promptly and professionally
  • Supervision of quality control team, office and field staff
