Që nga 1 TETORI 2023 ka hyrë ne fuqi rregullorja CBAM me të cilën komisioni Evropian vendos një mekanizëm të rregullimit të kufirit të karbonit. (ref. Rregullorja e BE-se 2023/956. Kjo rregullore do të zbatohet vetëm për mallrat me tarifa të caktuara doganore duke përfshire të gjitha produktet për eksport. Prandaj të gjitha kompanitë Eksportuese Shqiptare preken nga kjo rregullore.
CBAM (Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism) do të zbatohet në mënyrë progresive sipas një faze tranzicioni 1 Tetor 2023 - 31 Dhjetor 2025 në të cilën të gjitha kompanitë eksportuese Shqiptare duhet të raportojnë çdo 3 muaj kufirin e karbonit tek klientët e tyre Evropian. Faza e dytë duke filluar nga 1 Janari 2026 në të cilën mekanizmi do të hyjë në funksion përfundimisht kompanitë importuese do të paguajnë taksën e karbonit në vendet e tyre të raportuara nga kompanitë që janë zinxhir i furnizimit.

Since October 1, 2023, the CBAM regulation has come into effect, introducing the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism established by the European Commission. (Ref: EU Regulation 2023/956).
This regulation applies only to goods with specific customs tariffs, including all export products. As a result, all Albanian exporting companies are affected by this regulation.
CBAM will be implemented progressively through a transition phase from October 1, 2023, to December 31, 2025. During this period, all Albanian exporting companies must report their carbon border data every three months to their European clients.
The second phase, starting on January 1, 2026, will mark the full implementation of the mechanism, where importing companies will be required to pay the carbon tax in their respective countries based on the reports provided by companies within the supply chain.
