We are seeking a talented and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in shaping and implementing our infrastructure and operations strategy. You will work closely with our development team to ensure the smooth delivery, deployment, and scalability of our applications.
Responsibilities:
Build and maintain our infrastructure: Design, deploy, and manage our cloud-based infrastructure using tools such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform. Implement automation and infrastructure-as-code principles to ensure scalability, availability, and security.
Continuous integration and deployment: Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes. Implement and maintain deployment strategies, ensuring fast and reliable delivery of software updates.
Monitoring and performance optimization: Set up monitoring tools and implement proactive measures to identify and address performance issues, bottlenecks, and system failures. Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability.
Security and compliance: Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards. Monitor and respond to security incidents and conduct regular vulnerability assessments.
Collaboration and communication: Work closely with development teams to provide infrastructure support, promote DevOps practices, and improve the overall development and deployment workflow. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure and operations with business objectives.
Troubleshooting and incident management: Investigate and resolve infrastructure-related incidents, troubleshoot production issues, and perform root cause analysis. Implement strategies for disaster recovery and ensure business continuity.
Documentation and knowledge sharing: Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation of infrastructure, processes, and procedures. Share knowledge and best practices with the team to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Strong experience in designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based infrastructure (AWS or Google Cloud Platform).
Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and experience with related tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Travis CI).
Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code principles and proficiency in configuration management tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
Strong understanding of networking concepts and experience with network configuration and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with monitoring and log aggregation tools (e.g., Prometheus, ELK Stack, Splunk).
Knowledge of security best practices and experience with implementing security measures in cloud environments.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Experience in a startup environment or agile development teams is a plus.
