Job Position: Network Administrator, IT Network Operations Sector
Department: IT Department
Division: Operational Division

Primary objectives

• Install, configure, and support the local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet system or a segment of a network system.
• Maintain network hardware and software.
• Monitor network to ensure network availability to all users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability.
• Implement best practices to ensure data integrity on network.

Key roles & responsibilities

• Establishes network specifications; analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements; designing router & switches administration, including interface configuration and routing protocols.
• Establishes network by evaluating network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, and latency; planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment;
• Maintains network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; escalating problems to vendor. Study, Implement QoS(quality of Service) and high availability on network where it is necessary.
• Upgrades network by conferring with vendors; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements
• Secures network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; Implement configuration security best practices, review and close vulnerabilities reported by VA tool (Qualys).
• Maintain and test communications necessary for IT DRS plan.
• Maintaining documentation
• Maintaining network facilities in individual machines, such as drivers and settings of personal computers as well as printers and other devices
• Support administering of desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, phones, smartphones, tablets,etc.

Required skills

• University Degree Electronics, Computer Science, Enginnery
• 3+ years working experience,
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Routing and Switching certification
• LAN/WAN Knowledge,
• Network Design and Implementation
• Network Performance Tuning
