Islamic Relief Albania is seeking to hire a Local Fundraising Officer to join our team.

Islamic Relief is an international relief and development charity founded in 1984 with its headquarters in Birmingham, UK. As well as responding to disasters and emergencies, Islamic Relief promotes sustainable economic and social development by working with local communities – regardless of race, religion or gender. Islamic Relief has been active in The Republic of Albania since 1991, IR Albania office started officially its operation in Albania in 1994. IRA implements its projects through regional field offices. Our office deal with our three main programs of Orphan Welfare, Emergency, Relief Programs and Development Projects. Our operations are implemented all Albania Country.

KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
· Working with line manager, Fundraising Manager and the Albania team, external suppliers and other functions of IR where relevant information resources and support is required.
· Work with existing local support groups and individuals to develop members or leaders of IR volunteer teams. Work with the local IR teams to motivate and influence new and potential local support groups.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
The job holder is accountable for fulfilling his or her roles and responsibilities in line with Islamic Relief’s values and principles of fairness, humanity, honesty, respect and fair treatment of his/her colleagues and staff.
The successful candidate must have or be:
• Experience in establishing and developing relationships with key stakeholders
• Demonstrate experience in project coordination i.e. events and campaigns
• Experience of organising and supervising events
• Experience of recruiting, managing and developing volunteers
• Driving license
• Knowledge and understanding of the local region and community
• Excellent inter-personal skills and ability to motivate and manage volunteers
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent presentation skills
• Strong motivation and empathy towards the aims and objectives of the organisation
• Ability to represent Islamic Relief in a wide range of situations
• Strong organisational skills i.e. ability to prioritise and plan work, set and achieve deadlines, establish and maintain monitoring systems etc
• Have a flexible approach to work
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally, and at short notice.
