Junior Network Security​

Education:

• Bachelor degree in Computer Sciences, Tecnology of Information, Cybersecurity, or related fields. To be considered that the respective work experience may substitute a diploma.
• Certifications are an advantage, such as:
• CompTIA Network+
• CompTIA Security+
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Work experience:

• The junior levels do not require vast experience, thus 1-2 years as IT, or an internship in network security can be useful and can make a candidate very competitive.
• Knowledge of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and the main principles of network security.
• Any experience with network protocols and security technology, such as VPN and SIEM solutions would be an advantage, but not necessarily a requirement.

Skills:

• Basic knowledge of network technology and security principles.
• Any proficiency in using the tools of security management and analysis.
• Knowledge of lately threats in security and prevention measures.
• Good abilities in problem-solving and interpreting and simplifying technical data.
• Solid communication skills to effectively work within a team.
• Knowledge of at least on programming languafe or scripting, such as Python, can be useful.
• Knowledge of regulatory directives such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI DSS can be an advantage.
