Job Title: Distribution Manager – Import
Department: Logistics / Supply Chain
Reports to: Head of Logistic
Location: Tiranë.
Role Summary: The Distribution Manager – Import oversees the movement, receipt, and distribution of imported goods from ports to warehouses and final destinations. This role ensures that all import operations run smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with customs regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end distribution of imported goods, from port clearance to warehouse delivery.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs agents, and internal teams.
- Monitor and plan incoming shipments, ensuring timely delivery.
- Ensure proper documentation (import declarations, invoices, certificates, etc.).
- Track shipments and manage delays, reroutes, or port-related issues.
- Optimize transportation routes and costs for import goods.
- Supervise unloading, inspection, and stock-in procedures.
- Ensure compliance with local import laws and international trade regulations.
- Maintain accurate records for audits and reporting.
- Collaborate with procurement, finance, and inventory teams.
Requirements:
- Degree in Logistics, International Trade, Business, or related field.
- 3–5+ years of experience in import logistics or distribution.
- Strong knowledge of customs procedures, Incoterms, and freight documentation.
- Experience with ERP and logistics systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to solve problems under time pressure.
