Data Center Technician / Engineer - IT Infrastructure & Service Management

Job Description

• Responsible for assigned, planned maintenance, follow-ups in repair works in datacenters.
• Assist in maintenance and monitoring of Data centers systems about incidents, events, problems, changes, monitoring problem escalation/notification/resolution and all other aspects of support.
• Assisting in routine changes, server relocations within and across the data centers.
• Planning, Installing, supervising, cabinets populations with power, network or equipment.
• Continual monitoring of Data Centre support queues, troubleshoot and diagnose hardware problems.
• Assist and deploy new equipment such as: building racks, cabling and/or complete Hardware installation, including (network, server)
• Ensuring new deployments, adherence to procedures.
• Assist and support and new bank site setups.
• Review ,update and maintain the documentation about power (Rack, PDUs capacity, AC/DC circuits etc.), networking (Cable, fiber or RJ45, CAT6) cabinet drawing (equipment in the cabinet on which rack unit), connections to Terminal Servers closely working with facility and external resources.
• Perform Data center walkthroughs verifying alerts for PDUs, HVACs as well as for any server ambers/ red lights reporting any finds to Support and/or superiors.
• Data center periodical Health check Report - Information about possible alarms for all equipment from Data Centre, detailed information and Rack density ( e.g .% of cabinet and racks usage)
• Data centers inventory and documentation.
• Perform planning, installation, operations with third parties’ company`s support for Data centers facilities, as required.
• Installing, supervising RJ45, CAT6 and/or optical fiber cables and/or inside the MDF cabinets if required.
• Follow up and documentation of Ticket, Change Tasks, Incidents for different problems as per needs.
• Coordination and supervision of subcontractors and external suppliers.
• Day to day datacenters infrastructure surveillance.
• Responsible for the DC operating in energy efficiency and the implementation of assigned optimization measures.
• Providing solutions for site management adhering to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Skills

• Has graduated from an IT discipline, Electrical / Mechanical technician or engineering.
• Has proper knowledge of English Language to follow the documentation, prepare reports and presentations.
• Minimum 1-year experience for data centers administration: managing projects, critical infrastructure ,power distribution , mechanical ,cooling systems
• Has in depth knowledge in regard to IT Infrastructure.
• Be honest, trustworthy and reliable.
• Experience in maintenance and monitoring of server systems.
• Ability to collaborate with partners or with teams to overcome challenges.
• Experience managing and negotiating contracts and vendor relationships.
• Knowledge of Access Control ( Kantech- Entrapass )
• Knowledge of Surveillance System ( Ganz Control , Hik Vision)
• Experience with operating systems and networking protocols.
• Experience with computer and server hardware or troubleshooting /diagnosing.
• Familiarity with Data center power, cooling, cabling, fire alarm systems, as well as other Infrastructure issues.
• Proficiency in using data center servers, cabling, racks, and in-rack-PDUs
• Knowledge with centralized monitoring systems ( BMS )
• Knowledge in Installing, configuring, and maintaining production infrastructure.
• Skilled in installing cable, fiber, power, and rack mounting equipment.
• Experience of working in Financial Sector is a plus
