BUSINESS TAX ADVISOR​

Our client is a well-known international consulting group operating successfully in Albania for many years. Quality leadership and development of the people represent cornerstones of their strategy and success in different countries. Due to its business expansion in Albania and the region, our client opens the new vacancy of Business Tax Advisor

The Role: Support key strategic corporate initiatives by driving tax conclusions in support of strategic transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, legal entity simplification, and other matters.

Responsibilities:

• Work effectively as a team member, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication and updating senior team members on progress
• Work closely with tax manager and seniors;participate in business tax advisory engagements
• Assist in preparing reports and schedules that will be delivered to clients and other parties
• Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel
• Build strong internal relationships within the business tax advisory team and across other services
• Must be strong on researching relevant facts in an environment where legal entity accounting is not very strong, and able on applying tax rules to sometimes unclear facts
• Support key transactions, including due diligence in acquisitions and dispositions.
• Support cross-functional team to develop, review and implement strategies to streamline the legal entity structure per direction from top management
• Identify potential Business development opportunities through networking with clients
• Assist Tax department with all other projects as needed

Requirements:

• University degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance; ACCA or similar further qualification is highly preferred
• Experience in tax advisory and accounting not less then 3 years; preferably with a major law or accounting firm
• Strong knowledge and understanding of IFRS, local GAAP and Albanian tax legislation
• Very good English language
• Very good PC skills (MS Office- Excel, Word; accounting software)
  Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work in team, pro-active, committed to excellence and have a flexible and positive attitude
• Very good skills in drafting and editing; written, verbal communication and presentation skills
