📣 Meliá Durrës Albania is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Housekeeping Manager to support the effective operation of the Housekeeping Department and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, and guest satisfaction across the hotel.



🎯 Job Mission​

The Assistant Housekeeping Manager supports the Housekeeping Manager in overseeing daily housekeeping operations, ensuring compliance with brand standards, optimizing resources, and leading the team to deliver exceptional cleanliness and presentation throughout guest rooms and public areas, contributing to an outstanding guest experience.


🛠 What You Will Do​

  • Support the Housekeeping Manager in planning, organizing, and supervising daily housekeeping operations
  • Ensure guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas meet established cleanliness, hygiene, and brand standards
  • Assist in supervising housekeeping teams, including room attendants, public area cleaners, linen staff, and outsourced services when applicable
  • Monitor room status, coordinate with Front Office and Maintenance to ensure timely room readiness
  • Support training, coaching, and performance monitoring of housekeeping staff
  • Assist with inspection of rooms and public areas, reporting deficiencies and ensuring corrective actions
  • Support inventory control of linen, uniforms, cleaning supplies, and equipment
  • Help manage budgets, cost control, and efficient use of resources
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations
  • Support implementation of sustainability and environmental programs
  • Assist in handling guest requests, complaints, and incidents related to housekeeping
  • Participate in seasonal opening/closing processes and special projects

✅ What We Are Looking For​

  • Degree or professional training in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or a related field
  • Previous experience in housekeeping operations within a hotel environment
  • Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or assistant managerial role within the housekeeping department
  • Strong knowledge of housekeeping standards, procedures, and cleaning techniques
  • Understanding of hotel operations and interdepartmental coordination
  • Good organizational, leadership, and people-management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and guest satisfaction
  • Basic financial and inventory management knowledge
  • Fluency in the local language and good command of English; additional languages are an advantage
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays
