Job position: Accountant
Contract Terms: Indefinite
Location: Durres, Albania.

Summary: We are looking for a highly analytical accounting professional for an International Company located in Durres, for the position of Accounting.
In this role, you will be responsible for creating financial and economic forecasts and models, among other duties.
As an Economist you will need to distill complex economic data to non-technical audiences, requiring excellent communicative ability.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Issues and registers all the customers’ invoices;
• Management of purchase/incoming invoices (coordinates, assists, verifies, processes, etc.);
• Registration of all invoices and Cash box administration
• Cooperation with the operational department for crosschecking information/data of service provided;
• Cross-checking with DPA monitory unit for the share of 11%;
• Prepares the ministry share statements 2% in accordance with accounting books on a monthly basis;
• Establish tables of accounts, and assign entries to proper accounts;
• Ensuring up-to-date accounting by frequent and periodic reconciliation of accounts;
• Develop periodic reports for supervisor and management;
• Assist in preparing, examining, and analyzing accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards;
• Conduct month-end and year-end close process;
• Keep information confidential and secure them with random database backups;
• Attending meetings and assisting in preparing reports/correspondence relating to budgetary, financial, or accounting matters as required;
• Recommending improvements to the accounting system as required;
• Liaising on budgetary, financial, and accounting matters with the supervisor/management as required;
• Any other duty required by the supervisor and in accordance with the position.

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Economics or Accounting

Work Experiences and Required skills:

• 3 years of previous work experience in the finance sector;
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite skills;
• Ability to perform advanced analysis;
• Ability to create reliable reports.

Language skills:

• Proficient in Albanian and very good command of the English language (written and spoken). Knowledge of any other language would be an asset;
