Summary of the position: To succeed in this role, the Logistics Supervisor should have thorough knowledge of multi category, supply chain management and an understanding of dispatching orders and tracking transportation vehicles. The ideal candidate should also be familiar with safety processes and legal regulations.

Duties and Responsibility:

  • Manages the daily dispatch functions for all assigned drivers. Maintains knowledge of all processes and procedures required to execute assigned tasks.
  • Track orders using functional systems (e.g. track and trace software)
  • Offers innovative solutions that meet clients’ needs while remaining cost effective
  • Manage inventory as well as transportation and other logistics processes;
  • Develop new strategies to streamline processes and reduce cost;
  • Ensure that quality, quantity, customer satisfaction, and financial commitments are met;
  • Responsible for communicating with customers and shippers regarding any changes to schedules and pick-ups throughout the day.
  • Perform metrics reporting and data analysis tasks to identify issues and opportunities for process improvements;
  • Maintains relationships with technology, software, and security vendors
  • Organizes working shifts, identifies staffing needs and works with company human resources to pursue the hiring process
  • Upholds a sense of customer service and measures client satisfaction
Required Qualifications and Behaviors:

  • Strong desire to learn and acquire new knowledge and to implement it in practice
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in supply chain management, operations, business administration or similar field
  • 2+ years of experience working in logistics or transportation operations
  • Firm grasp of supply chain, inventory, distribution, business, and management principles
  • Strong team player and solid knowledge of supply chain management
  • Ability to manage, coach, and provide training for direct reports
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills.
  • Must demonstrate very good communication skills both written and oral.
  • Must possess excellent personal computer skills and having working knowledge of logistics software.
  • Excellent knowledge of Tirana City geography (roads and infrastructure, businesses, supermarket’s, Shopping Centers etc)
  • Very good knowledge of English language
