ITWorks is looking for a Web Application Developer to join our team and be responsible for the coding, innovative design and layout of web applications. The applicant’s responsibilities include building web applications from concept all the way to completion from the bottom up, fashioning everything from home page to site layout and function.

Responsibilities:

  • Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices;
  • Integrate data from various backend services and databases;
  • Create and maintain software documentation;
  • Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling web applications;
  • Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities

Requirements:

  • BS in computer science or a related field;
  • Proven working experience in web programming is preferable
  • Programming skills;
  • Familiarity with at least one of the following programming languages: Java, .NET, Python is preferable
  • A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices;
  • Adequate knowledge of relational databases systems and web application development;
  • Hands-on experience with browser development tools;
  • Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques.
  • Excellent knowledge of English
