Aleat Sh.p.k., is an Albanian Joint Venture company of Idemia Identity & Security and the Albanian-American Enterprise Fund (AAEF), responsible for the production and the distribution of ID Cards and Biometric Passports for Albanian citizens. For our organization we are looking for a Finance Officer (responsible for Accounting, Tax and Reporting matters).

Primary Responsibilities:

Accounting

  • Daily Accounting, to execute the Accounting Records (purchase invoices);
  • Maintaining general ledger Accounts;
  • Following up the Accounts Payable issues and Accounting;
  • Reviewing and validating all the bank transfers before performing the bank payments;
  • Following up the register of the assets and concerning the depreciation method as per concession agreement period term;
  • Reviewing monthly department activities including general ledger maintenance, balance sheet reconciliations and corporate/overhead cost allocation;
  • And any other task assigned by the Line manager from time to time;
  • Working with Business Central (Microsoft programing) as accounting program;
Tax Compliance

  • Ensuring compliance of the company with all accounting and tax regulations; Monthly Tax declaration in the electronic TAX system (VAT, WHT, CIT, etc.);
  • Preparing and submitting of Taxes, Income Tax, VAT and Local Taxes. Connection with the state regulatory bodies/ Tax Administration and representing company to them;
  • Preparing the folder and the application for the Double taxation Treatment (DTT) for foreign invoices from the Group;
  • Extensive knowledge on the VAT issues such as reporting, filing, reimbursement, exemptions, DTT and relations with authorities;
  • Following up the communication with the Tax authorities or other institutions that the business is related regarding to the company’s activity and taxes issues;
Reporting and Audit

  • Preparing and review all the package necessary for the internal financial control to the Group (tax/fraud/ quality assurance…etc.);
  • Preparing and maintaining regular financial planning reports (monthly profit and loss forecast (vs. budget); weekly cash flow forecast; exchange rate evaluation and exchanging performed; etc);
  • Completing analysis of financial results and recommendations (monthly/quarterly or yearly basis);
  • Preparing and coordinate the preparation of the Annual Financial Statements;
  • Following up the Audit process of the Financial Statements;

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accounting, Master Degree would be a plus;
  • 6-7 year of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position and sector/industry;
  • Professional written and verbal communication (French is a plus);
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects;
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems (Navision would be a plus);
  • Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections;
  • Ability to prepare internal communication on monthly basis respecting all the finance procedures and work orders in place;
  • Ability to provide professional written and verbal communications to internal and external groups while being the point of contact for all finance related issues;
  • Operational ability, access and good contact point with different counterparts with the Government agencies and other business institutions (like tax, municipality, social insurance institute, banks, suppliers etc.);
  • Ability to work well with different departments within the company. Must show initiative and good judgment in resolving issues;
  • Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule;
