Vacancy Announcement

TIRANA BANK, one of the leading banks in Albania and member of Balfin Group, is seeking to welcome a qualified candidate to join the Retail Credit Department in the position:

Overall Job Definition:

The Credit Officer shall ensure the application of the statutory obligations, appropriateness of the risks undertaken and compliance with the Policies, Procedures and Products of the Bank in terms of credit.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates the individual file applications, being in accordance with Tirana Bank Retail Credit product and Retail Credit Policy;
  • Analyses loan applications by evaluating credit risks and assessment of borrower’s creditworthiness;
  • Follows up each application submitted until final decision is taken. Ensure that all needed signatures are taken in compliance with Credit Approval Authority document;
  • Takes decision on: approval/rejection of retail loan proposals (up to approved authority level), based on sound judgment and in accordance with TB Retail Credit Policy and refer the case to the other approval authorities.
  • Gives his/her assistance in reviewing current procedures and policies regarding loan activity whenever is required.
  • Prepares synthetic periodic reports on the files processed in Retail Credit Department;
  • Ensures right input of the applications in VELTI System;
  • Is involved in different trainings for all staff that are included in retail loan processing (retail credit Officers, relationship officers for individuals etc.) regarding credit aspects.
  • Performs any other duty assigned by the supervisor;

Competencies/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration;
  • Min 2 years of banking experience in similar positions, including credit analyst, credit officer;
  • Very good knowledge of banking regulations, credit analysis functions, bank, policies, and procedures;
  • Very good technical knowledge of credit processes, systems, and services. Very accurate and has an attention to detail;
  • Very good critical thinking; and analytical ability;
  • Quality oriented;
  • Be persistent;
  • Ability to work well as part of a team;
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Very good spoken and written communication skills;
  • Very good knowledge of English language (writing and speaking);
