• DevOps Support Specialist

SCOPE:

The DevOps Support Specialist is a key member of an overall team responding to support inquiries across the full suite of JK Moving Services software. The DevOps Support Specialist is responsive, helpful, thorough, and communicative when working with both internal and external stakeholders. The candidate is a first line responder and engages from issue initiation to resolution. This individual is quick to triage and determine levels of support required. Individual will also participate in software deployments, deployment troubleshooting and SaaS product configuration.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Basic Qualifications:

  • College degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or related area
  • Familiar with client-server, web application and mobile application architecture, modern programming languages, SQL scripting
  • Familiar with IT infrastructure; including server and database management, networking and solution security
  • Working experience in DevOps
  • Familiar with hybrid environments (on-premise and cloud computing)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Must have good collaboration skills to work with stakeholders, developers, NetOps, end users and customers
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot applications
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Quickly learn and understand a changing technology landscape within the organization and it’s partners
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and JIRA a plus

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner and utilize skills and knowledge of applications to answer questions and solve technical problems.
  • Owns tickets until completely resolved and provide follow-up with client after resolution to assure continued success.
  • Provide application debugging support to resolve issues
  • Provide database support
  • Provide end user support through the use of low-code and configured solutions
  • Assist in the development of installation packages for various internal or external customers.
  • Actively assist in maintaining and developing methods for automated maintenance and reporting.
  • Contribute to solution documentation, knowledge-base articles, and FAQs
  • Investigate new DevOps tools to improve efficiency of pipelines
  • Plan and participate in code releases
  • Other duties as specified
