Fix Broadband Specialist

Purpose of Position
Responsible for the fix Broadband service configuration and troubleshooting of Residential, Corporate, and bitstream customers on MSAN/DSLAM/OLT.

Main Task

  • To follow up and monitor service availability of all MSAN, DSLAM, OLT equipment of Fix Network.
  • To execute standard and preventive maintenance procedures for ensuring 99.9% service availability of MSAN, DSLAM, OLT equipment.
  • To perform necessary operations for configurations on new or existing customer services on MSAN, DSLAM, OLT equipment.
  • To perform necessary operations for troubleshooting and resolving issues related to customer services on MSAN, DSLAM, OLT equipment
  • To perform necessary operations for troubleshooting of issues related to broadband services on MSAN, DSLAM, OLT equipment.
  • To configure or prepare configuration procedures of CPE (xDSL modems and ONT) for use by automated systems i.e ACS server, remote provisioning systems etc.
  • To test CPE models for interoperability with our network, functionality and performance.
  • To take quick actions and resolve service related problems with high accuracy in shortest possible time.
  • To collaborate with other relevant teams for solving issues.
  • To follow implementations of new services /systems in collaboration with other teams
  • To maintain and promote mutual cooperation within team.
  • To improve knowledge and professional skills continuously.
Skills

  • Good knowledge of Unix/Windows based systems;
  • Good understanding of NGN architecture and FTTH Networks, with focus on xDSL and GPON technology.
  • Good knowledge of switching and routing protocols, TCP/IP protocol suite, RADIUS, TR069, DNS, DHCP, SNPM, OMCI
  • Good use of Microsoft Excel.
  • Good command of English Language;
  • Very good communication and team working abilities;
  • Available to work overtime when necessary;
  • Available for site / customer premises visits occasionally.



Experience

  • At least 1 year of experience in the same field;
  • Previous experience in ZTE MSAG5200, ZDSL9800 and C300/C320 devices operation and maintenance is considered an advantage;

Education

  • University Degree in Telecommunication / Computer Science / Computer Engineering;
