Role Purpose:
Protect Vodafone’s external reputation in the marketplace. Uphold the commitment of Vodafone to be a responsible business

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

• Create and deliver proactive strategies to enhance media and industry analyst understanding of, and support for, Vodafone business objectives
• Take action to protect reputation through timely and persuasive communications in the event of significant issues or crisis
• Shape and run corporate social responsibility initiatives
• Run the Vodafone Foundation programme of activity

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

• Directly responds to external communications keeping appraised of the external environment where it could have an impact on Vodafone reputation
• Chairs high profile media events
• Engages with key government decision makers and lobbies on behalf of Vodafone
• Senior Stakeholder management and leadership (external and internal)
• Devises media strategies for a geography, group wide or a larger function
• Manages an entire media relations programme for a CEO, chairperson or CFO
• Defines the external policy for the market
• Represents market at external events
• Liaises with PR agencies on press activity
• Research and analysis of daily press cuttings to provide meaningful insights

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

• Degree in Political Science, Economics, Communication or similar discipline
• Experience of min 5 years of working with media and authorities
• Excellent knowledge of Albanian and English, spoken and written
