Sound & Light Operator, salary $ 750

Role: The Sound and Light Operator is responsible for the operating and maintaining the audio- visual equipment of the Park.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Setting up and installing equipment such as microphones, sound speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors, recording equipment, connecting wires and cables, sound and mixing boards for events and functions.
• Setting up and operate sound equipment.
• Setting up and operate spotlights.
• Coordinating with the Director to establish cues and directions.
• Creating and installing custom lighting systems.
• Monitoring sound feeds to ensure quality.
• Ensuring equipment is installed according to designated layout.
• Testing and resolving equipment issues.
• Mixing sound inputs and feeds.
• Coordinating audio feeds with television images.
• Sending in equipment for repairs as needed.
• Switching video input sources from one camera to another.
• Determine filming sequences and camera movements.
• Cleaning audio and video equipment and store properly.
• Ensuring equipment the safe transfer and shipment of equipment.
• Compressing and digitizing audio and video data.
• Ensuring the safe storage and integrity of data.
• Working with computer-controlled lighting systems.
• Assisting in the performance of other special duties and projects as needed in support of operational and organizational goals.

Required Education and Experience:

• High-school diploma or any relevant course
• Lighting design and sound operating skills
• Troubleshooting and analytical skills
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar field.
• English language proficiency.
